Former Premier League referee David Coote has been charged by the FA over comments. He made about former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp in a leaked social media video.

Coote was sacked a month later by England’s Professional Football Match Officials’ Committee (PGMOL) following a thorough investigation into his conduct.
The Football Association has charged Coote with conduct in violation of E3.1. Which alleges he acted in an improper manner and/or used abusive and/or insulting language.

The reference to Klopp’s nationality in the video is a serious violation.
