Senior Pet Wellness Program

Kahala Pet Hospital offers a special program for senior pets

Program Benefits:

Free registration for all senior pet owners!

Because many pets over 12 years of age live with different degrees of pain. Their behavior may just seem to you as the normal slow-down of old age, but to us that may say your pet is asking for help. Sometimes body language can be very meaningful! During your first visit, we’ll perform a full physical exam, and discuss behavior and habits with you.

As a result:

  • You’ll receive a personalized program geared to manage any problems, and/or keep your pet as healthy and happy as possible.
  • We’ll help keep you on track by sending  you an appointment reminder card, every 4 months.
  • You’ll spend about 20% less on a routine Senior Pet Exam, than you would on the cost of a typical annual visit, making it affordable for you to provide your pet with the extra care they will benefit from, as they grow older.

Please contact us at 808-735-4433 to schedule your initial consultation, or to get further information.  You may also reach us through our Contact Form.

Here’s why you and your pet will be happy you registered:

Aging is something that we all eventually face.  Our pets are no different, but they are not able to rationalize the changes that are happening to them. They may adapt to a problem, but that may lead to other problems. If only they could tell us in words that something is wrong!Kahala Pet Hospital Senior Pet Wellness Management Program

Traditionally, veterinary practices have accepted as gospel that annual and semi-annual visits for pets is sufficient. We have taken a second look at this approach and feel that if we evaluate and monitor your senior pets every 4 months, we can find problems earlier, and get in front of them.

Although old age is not a disease, inevitably, problems that might have taken many months or years to manifest, begin to develop more quickly, and with more frequency, as time marches on. Many of the problems that take our pets from us are very often preventable – or can at least be held in check.  We all want our pets to be be has healthy as as they can be, and to enjoy life with us as long as they possibly can. Let us do everything we can to help you achieve this.
